Feature Codes Guide
Feature codes let you control call behavior directly from your device by dialing a short code — no portal login required. Dial them from your own extension (SIP device) to turn features on, off, or toggle between states: call forwarding, Do Not Disturb, call recording, and more.
Below is an organized list of codes by category, each with a short, clear explanation. Dial each code exactly as shown from a registered SIP device on your account.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do feature codes work from any SIP device?
Yes. Dial them from any registered SIP device or softphone on your PBXme account — desk phones, mobile SIP apps, and PC softphones are all supported.
What’s the difference between the “Toggle” codes and the enable/cancel codes?
Enable and cancel codes set a feature to a specific state (on or off), while Toggle codes switch between whichever state you’re currently in — useful when you don’t want to remember which state you’re in.
Is there a cost to using feature codes?
Dialing the codes themselves is free. The one exception is call recording, which is billed at $0.01 per minute of recorded audio once enabled.
How do I do a blind transfer vs. an attended transfer?
Dial *2 during an active call for an immediate blind transfer with no announcement, or *3 for an attended transfer where you speak to the recipient before completing the handoff.
Can I access someone else’s voicemail box?
Yes, using *96, but you’ll need that mailbox’s own password. Dial *97 to go straight to your own voicemail without a password prompt.
